So here are a few detailed steps if you are applying for an NBI clearance document for the first time. Ensure that you have all the NBI clearance requirements.
Step 1: Register yourself
If you are a new applicant or have not registered since 2014, start by creating an account on the NBI portal.

First-time job seekers applying for the free clearance should sign up through the special portal at firsttimejobseekers.nbi.gov.ph
However, if you are here for a renewal, enter your expired online NBI clearance number.

Fill the registration form with accurate details. Ensure that you are meeting all the NBI clearance requirements. Accept the “Terms of Service” and click sign up.
Step 2: One-Time Password (OTP) Verification

To verify that you have provided a correct email or contact number, the automated system will send you an OTP to that number. Enter the OTP before it expires. The approximate expiry of OTP is 5 minutes.
Step 3: Fill out NBI Clearance Application Form

After you are done with the verification, the system takes you to an online Application form. Fill out all required details, especially those marked with an asterisk (*). Fill the form carefully; you have the option to edit your provided details. Once you are satisfied with the form details, click on “Apply for Clearance”.
